Netanyahu says he is ready to mediate in the Ukraine issue

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu says he is ready to mediate in the Ukrainian crisis

Israel is ready to consider the role of mediator in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict in case of an offer from “all interested parties,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with CNN.

“I am ready if both sides ask me to, and frankly, if the U.S. asks me to,” the politician specified.

At the same time, the prime minister added that he is “not begging” for the role. According to him, it requires “the right moment and circumstances.

“If they arise, I will certainly consider it,” he summarized.

Netanyahu is not the first politician to announce his willingness to mediate in the Ukrainian crisis. Before him, Turkish and Brazilian presidents Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced it.
